Katniss Everdeen

In the hellish dystopia of The Hunger Games (2012), 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence in an intense, physical performance, is skilled with a bow and traps game in the forbidden zone to feed her frail sister, Prim. When Prim is chosen for a nationally televised fight to the death, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She defeats one opponent after the next and, in sequels, leads a revolution to overthrow a brutal dictatorship.
